The 2nd international webinar on 'Sciences for Society' will be held on 25-28 February 2021 in observance of the birth centenary of Dhaka University (DU) and Golden Jubilee of our Independence.

Abstracts of 500 words (maximum) for the webinar have been invited from interested DU alumni of home and abroad and requested them to submit abstracts on or before 15 November 2020 to Prof Dr Imtiaz Ahmed, Convener, International e-Conference on Celebrating 100 years of the University of Dhaka, e-mail: du100.internationalconference@du.ac.bd; cgs@du.ac.bd

Abstracts may be submitted on the following themes, but need not be limited to them. The themes are bio-science, earth science , physical science, environmental science, health science, engineering & technology,  the fourth industrial revolution & Bangladesh, climate change, food security, innovation & intellectual property, public health, managing pandemics, science research policy, science & academic entrepreneurship, clean, sustainable & renewable energy and maritime resources.

Authors of selected abstracts will be able to present their papers at the conference. Selected papers will also be considered for publication.

Besides, there will be other webinar series on the following themes: History of the University of Dhaka and Higher Education in Bangladesh (21-24 January 2021); Arts, Literature and Culture (March 2021); Business (April 2021); Social Sciences (May 2021); and Futures of Higher Education (June 2021).
