20 universities to hold uniform admission tests from 19 June

Some 20 public universities have decided to start the uniform intake tests on 19 Jun, under the cluster system.

The decision came from a meeting of Bangladesh Bishwabidyalaya Parishad, an association of public university vice-chancellors, on Wednesday.

Dr Md Rafiqul, president of the association, confirmed the matter to The Business Standard. 

"A primary decision has been taken to start the intake tests uunder the cluster system from June 19. Examinations to three units will be held on 19 June, 26 June and 10 July respectively," he said.

He also mentioned that the six agriculture universities will hold admission tests on 29 May under separate arrangements.

The 20 universities are - Islamic University, Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Khulna University, Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University, Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University, Noakhali University of Science and Technology, Jagannath University. Cumilla University, Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University, Jashore University of Science and Technology, Begum Rokeya University, Pabna University of Science and Technology, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman University of Science and Technology, Barishal University, Rangamati University of Science and Technology, Rabindra University, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Digital University, Sheikh Hasina University, and Bangamata Sheikh Fojilatunnesa Mujib Science and Technology University.

Apart from that, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) will hold admission test on 10 June, while three other engineering universities - RUET, CUET and KUET - on 12 June.
