‘Dynamites’ wins CU Hult Prize for food business idea

The "Dynamites" bagged the champion position in the final competition of Hult Prize's Chittagong University (CU) campus round for their food business idea.

Their idea will ensure nutrition among certain people of a society, reads a press release.

Earlier 321 teams submitted their business ideas. Of them, six teams were picked for the semifinal round competition, it added. 

The final round of the competition was held on Friday on an online platform.

Team "Optimum" was the first runner-up of the competition, while "Winterfell" was the second runner-up.

The Hult Prize Foundation started the procedure of "On Campus Round" on 13 June this year.  The prize is also known as the "Nobel prize for students" and is conducted under direct supervision of the United Nations and the Bill Clinton Foundation, noted the press release.

The competition takes place at over 2,000 universities around the world, where students compete with new business ideas every year. 

Professor Dr Shireen Akhter, vice chancellor, CU was present as the chief guest at the awards ceremony.

Professor Dr Jabed Hossain, chairman, Department of Marketing; Dr Adnan Manna; Dr Kazi Tanvir Ahmed; Fahim Shahriar, Regional Associate (Asia), Hult Prize Foundation; and the judges of the final round were also present during the ceremony.
