Unauthorised billboards and signboards are hampering the beauty of the city and also repressing DNCC from earning revenues

Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) will launch a drive against illegal billboards, signboards, banners, festoons from September 15 in the capital.

DNCC Mayor Atiqul Islam said this at a virtual meeting in the morning.

Many business institutes are using billboards, signboards, and banners illegally while many shops are using several signboards after taking permission for only one, the Mayor said.

Unauthorised billboards and signboards are hampering the beauty of the city and also repressing DNCC from earning revenues, he said.

He also urged all to take approval for billboards, banners, festoons from the DNCC within September 14.
