The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has banned the carrying of all kinds of explosives and explosion of firecrackers in the capital ahead of Shab-e-Barat to be observed across the country Sunday night.

The restriction will remain in force from Monday 6 pm till Tuesday 6 am, according to a media release signed by DMP Commissioner Shafiqul Islam.
