DMCH fire brought under control
A fire at emergency unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) has been brought under control within 20 minutes it broke out.
The fire broke out at the 3rd floor of the old emergency unit at 1:48pm, Dana Miah, duty officer of fire service control room told The Business Standard.
On information, three firefightning units rushed to the spot and doused the blaze at 2:05pm, said duty officer Ershad Hossain.
No patient was reportedly hurt in the fire incident.
The reason of the fire and extent of damage could not be ascertained immediately.
