Cumilla Forest Department seizes timber worth Tk 20 lakh

The Cumilla Forest Department has seized illegal timber worth around Tk 20 lakh over the last one week in four separate drives.

The Suyagazi Forest Station under the control of Cumilla Forest Department seized those illegal timbers.

The seized timber will be shipped through court on Tuesday.

Cumilla Divisional Forest Officer, Nurul Karim said, "We have a strong team working to prevent illegal timber and wildlife smuggling. We have sources at various places in the district. We will take immediate action against those involved in this."
