9 districts get new DCs

The government has appointed new deputy commissioners to nine districts on Thursday, including 2 transfers.

The Ministry of Public Administration has issued a gazette notification in this regard on Thursday, saying the appointments will come into effect immediately.

According to the notification, Secretary to Power Division Khaled Mohammad Zaki has been made Deputy Commissioner of Dinajpur while Program Executive and Co-ordinaor at Strengthening Public Financial Management Programme Service Delivery (SPFMS) Mohammad Saidul Islam has been appointed as DC of Kushtia, Deputy Secretary to land ministry Israt Jahan as DC of Habiganj, Cabinet Division Deputy Secretary Mohammad Mizanur Rahman as DC of Rangamati, Deputy Secretary to the Ministry of Youth and Sports Muzibur Rahman as DC of Jhinaidah, Deputy Secretary to Bank Financial Institution Division Mursheda Zaman as DC of Jamalpur and Deputy Secretary to the Parliament Secretariat Md Toufiq-E-Leahi Choudhury as DC of Bhola.

At the same time, Jamalpur DC Mohammad Enamul Haque has been transferred to Mymensingh with the same post and Habiganj DC Md Kamrul Hasan to Cumilla.
