630kg govt rice recovered in Chattogram

Police have recovered 630kg government rice in 21 sacks from a warehouse in Chattogram.

During a raid at Edgah area in Double Mooring upazila, a police team, led by Shrima Chakma, assistant commissioner of police of Chattogram Metropolitan Police (Western Zone), also recovered 1,500 empty sacks of government rice.

Officer-in-Charge of Double Mooring police station Shodip Kumar Das said the rice was recovered from a warehouse named "The Faruk Traders" beside Munmun community centre in the Eidgah area.

The 21 sacks contained 30kg rice each, he said.

However, nobody could be arrested during the drive.
