Detective Branch (DB) of police arrested two persons with stored 6,480 liters of soybean oil, allocated by the government for sale at fair price amid the Covid-19 situation, from a warehouse at Robertsonganj in Rangpur.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Rangpur Metropolitan Police Ujjal Prasad said based on secret information a team of DB police conducted a raid at the warehouse on Monday and seized 6480 liters of soybean oil of Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB). Police arrested two persons identified as Irfanul Hasan and Harun-or-Rashid from the warehouse.
Police filed a case in this connection against four persons including Irfanul and Harun with Kotwali Police Station.
The DB police are conducting hectic raids at different areas to nab two absconding persons Rajib Hasan and Noyon Parvez for their involvement with the marketing of the oil of TCB.
