Dhaka South City Corporation Mayor Barrister Sheikh Taposh has warned Dhaka Water Supply and Sewerage Authority (WASA) against dumping garbage at public places.
The mayor gave this warning to WASA at the inaugural function of the year-long sewer cleaning program in the sewer adjacent to Muktijoddha Sangsad in Ward No 22 of the city today.
Calling on the people to be vigilant to ensure access to services, DSCC Mayor Taposh said, "If the sewer gets stuck somewhere, if it overflows or if there is waterlogging somewhere, you will inform the city corporation through councillors. If there is still no solution then let me know directly."
