Train communication between Dhaka and Mymensingh halted after a bogie of Tista Express derailed in the morning.
"A bogie of the train was derailed near Kewatkhali area at around 11am," Mymensingh Station Super Jahrul Islam said.
The Dhaka-bound Haor Express train was also delayed at Mymensingh station due to the derailment.
Rescue operation is underway with full force to restore the bogie, the station super added.
