The engine of a Dhaka-bound commuter train derailed in Gazipur halting Dhaka's rail link with northern districts today.

The incident took place at the outer signal on the south side of Dhirashram Railway Station around 10:45 am on Wednesday.

Later, a rescue train came from Joydebpur and the train movement resumed at around 12 noon.
