Dengue infection outside Dhaka on the rise
The intensity of the mosquito-borne disease is higher outside the capital
The number of dengue patients outside Dhaka is on the rise.
In the last 24 hours till Sunday morning, a total of 619 dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals across the country.
Of them, 163 people were admitted to the hospitals in Dhaka while the number in the hospitals of other districts was 456, according to the health directorate.
In the previous 24 hours, a total of 527 dengue infected people were admitted to different hospitals across the country. Of them 156 patients were in Dhaka and 371 elsewhere.
As per this estimation, the number of patients increased by 92 over a day, and the intensity of the mosquito-borne disease is higher outside the capital.
Currently, a total of 2,546 patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals across the country.
Of them, 1,033 people are in Dhaka hospitals while 1,513 patients are in hospitals outside the capital.
As of Sunday, a total of 81,186 people were admitted to hospitals with dengue infection so far this year, according to the health directorate data.
