Demand for implementation of DAP map

The people of ward No. 53 under Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), previously Harirampur union, formed a human chain on Thursday to demand proper implementation of the G-16 DAP map.

The map includes a hundred feet road from Diabari Golchattar to Gazipur and other facilities of the city corporation.

The chief guest of the event, Ward No. 53 Councilor Md Nasir Uddin said, "Harirampur union has been included in the city corporation, yet we do not get the facilities we are supposed to get."

"The proper implementation of the DAP map can bring development to our locality" he added.

The Ward councilor further said, "A part of our ward is detached because of insufficient road. The way the authorities implemented the G-16 map while building the main depot of the metro rail and police-line barrack; we demand the same treatment while building the Dhaka sewerage treatment plant."

The event was chaired by Mubinul Islam, coordination of the event. Convener Ziaul Haque Zaman, Delwar Hossain, Abul Hossain and Ramjan Ali spoke at the human chain, among others.

The participants demanded immediate start of the constructions according to the G-16 map's masterplan.

We are paying our taxes and other fees according to the city corporation rules but not getting the facilities we should be given, said the speakers.
