Quader’s body was recovered from his government officers’ quarter residence

Decomposed body of a deputy secretary was found at government quarter in the capital's Bailey Road area on Wednesday evening.

The deceased - Md Abdul Quader, 60 – was working at the Ministry of Labour and Employment.

Quader's body was recovered from his officers' quarter residence after unusual strong odour from his apartment was reported by the neighbours.

His body was later sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) Forensic Department for autopsy, Monirul Islam, officer-in-charge of Ramna police station told The Business Standard.

Earlier, his colleagues informed the law enforcers about his absence from work over last one week after they failed to reach him.

Police, however, has been speculating it as a natural death due to illness.

Unmarried Abdul Quader, hailing from Bhola, used to live alone in his apartment.
