Death toll rises to 15 in Chattogram accident

Three more people have succumbed to injuries over Saturday night's Lohagara accident in Chattogram, increasing the death toll to 15.

Confirming the matter to The Business Standard, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Lohagara Police Station Rashedul Islam said, "Four people were taken to Lohagara Health Complex. One died there, who could not be identified."

Later other three persons were transferred to Chattogram Medial College Hospital. Doctors there declared two of them dead.

Earlier on Saturday night, a truck rammed into a human hauler, locally named leguna, on Chattogram-Cox's Bazar highway in Lohagara, killing 12 people on the spot.
