Daraz takes steps to ensure customers basic needs amid corona

With the motto “stay safe, let us deliver,” Daraz has started providing products during the national crisis

Daraz Bangladesh, country's one of the largest online marketplace, has taken steps to ensure its customers can easily get basic commodities like flour, lentils, soaps, sanitizers, sugar, tea, hand washes over online.   

With the motto "stay safe, let us deliver,"  Daraz has started providing products during the national crisis, according to a Daraz Bangladesh press release.

Daraz delivery agents have been strictly instructed to wear masks, hand gloves and disinfect the ordered package at the customer's doorstep.  

Daraz has also taken strict measures for employee safety in the warehouses, hubs and offices, colleagues have been told to refrain from physical contact, wash hands frequently and thoroughly.

Furthermore, the temperature of all employees at the warehouse and all members of the logistics team is checked several times in a day with the help of a forehead thermometer. Work-from-home has become the norm for most employees these days. 

"Our primary concern right now is to ensure the safety of our  employees, delivery agents and customers," Daraz Bangladesh Managing Director Syed Mostahidal Hoq said.
