Ctg businessman dies from respiratory problems

Businessman and president of Tamakumandi Lane Banik Samity in Chattogram Shamsul Alam died from respiratory problems today.

Finance Secretary of the Banik Samity Abdul Alim confirmed the matter to The Business Standard.

He said Shamsul Alam breathed his last at the incentive care unit of Surgiscope Hospital unit-2 at around 6:30 am. Shamsul Alam had been suffering from fever and respiratory problems.

On Sunday night (June 14) he was admitted to Bangabandhu Memorial Hospital. He was taken to Surgiscope Hospital at around 3 pm on Monday as his condition deteriorated.

His janaza and burial will take place at his village home in Satkania in the afternoon, Abdul Alim added.
