'Robber ringleader' killed in Noakhali 'gunfight'

A man has been killed in a 'gunfight' with Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in Noakhali. 

The deceased was identified as Fakir, 42. The elite force claimed that he was the ringleader of robber gang Fakir Bahini.

In an SMS sent to the journalists on Monday morning, RAB said Fakir, a Home Ministry listed criminal, was killed in a gunfight in Charjabbar of Noakhali district. 

Two RAB men sustained injuries at that time. A loaded foreign pistol was also recovered from the spot.
