She claimed that the masterminds behind Bond 007 gang is trying to derail the investigation

Breaking her silence since brutal murder of her husband Rifat Sharif, Aysha Siddika Minni said the true masterminds behind the notorious criminal group “Bond 007” are very influential and they are trying to derail the investigation to protect themselves from the law.

Her first press conference since Rifat’s murder, which was held on Sunday noon, came after her father-in-law Abdul Halim’s press briefing on Saturday night.

Minni claimed that Rifat’s father and her father-in-law Halim was pressured into making false allegations against her, under the influence of the true culprits behind the criminal gang.

“Nayon Bond was a drug addict and a peddler who was wanted in many cases. He had been harassing me for years and hurled threats at my father and brother. I never spoke out against Noyon’s behaviour due to his reputation,” she told the media.

“My father-in-law is physically ill and his condition has worsened since the murder of his son Rifat. A certain quarter is conspiring against me since the incident. They are posting fake indecent images and comments in the social media in a bid to derail the murder investigation,” added Minni.

Rifat, 22, was hacked to death by criminals in front of his wife Aysha Siddika Minni in broad daylight in the district town on June 26. The incident was caught on surveillance camera.

Police have arrested ten people so far. The prime accused -- Sabbir Ahmed alias Nayon Bond -- was killed in a reported gunfight with police in the Sadar upazila of Borguna on July 2.
