Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) seized a huge stash of foreign alcohol and beer around 7.30am today from the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway in capital's Banani.

"We confiscated 60 bottles of foreign liquor and 384 cans of beer from a man named Awal Choukider, who was in a privately-owned car driving on the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway," said Sarwar Bin Kashem, commanding officer of RAB-1.

As part of an ongoing drive against alcohol and narcotics, a team of RAB-1 conducted the drive in the area, he added.
