RAB raids Samrat's Kakrail office

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) members are raiding the Casino kingpin Ismail Hossain Chowdhury Samrat's office at Kakrail's Bhuiyan Mansion.
RAB-1 team, led by Lieutenant Colonel Sarwar Bin Kashem, reached in front of the the building along with Samrat at around 1:10pm today.
Later, RAB team led by Executive Magistrate Sarwar Alam entered into the building at 1:40pm breaking the lock of the main gate. They are carrying out search operations at Samrat's office at the third floor of the building.
Samrat was seen wearing bulletproof vest and helmet during the raid.
Samrat will be produced before the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Ashek Imam at around 3:30pm. He has been shown arrest in a case filed with Motijheel police station.
Earlier, the elite force arrested Samrat, the president of Dhaka City South Jubo League, from Cumilla's Chauddagram at around 5am in the morning.
Samrat tried to flee the country via Cumilla border, RAB intelligence source said. He took position at a house in Chauddagram before making the move to escape.
Samrat was taken to RAB headquarters after the arrest.
