One held over killing youth with screwdriver in Chattogram
The arrestee is Mohammad Sohel, 22
Police arrested one person today morning over the murder of a youth with screwdriver at Pahartali area under Khulshi Station in Chattogram.
The arrestee is Mohammad Sohel, 22, hailed from Pahartali area. Sohel is a worker at a workshop in the area.
Pranab Chowdhury, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Khulshi police Station, said, "We arrested the accused from Malibagh area of Dhaka. After the murder, he went to Dhaka and a team of police followed him."
Nahid, 19, was killed following personal enmity on Sunday evening.
According to Pranab, there had been past enmity between Nahid and Sohel. They locked in an altercation on Sunday evening. At one stage, Sohel stabbed Nahid with a screwdriver. Critically injured Nahid was rushed to the Agrabad Maternity and Child Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
