Narsingdi burn victim dies at DMCH

Criminals set the teenager on fire while she was returning home from a grocery shop.

A young girl, who suffered severe burns after miscreants set her on fire at Birpur in Narsingdi district town on June 13, died at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital on Wednesday.

The deceased was identified as Phulon Barman, 17, daughter of Shital Barman.

Inspector Bacchu Mia, in-charge of DMCH police camp, said Phulon died around 6:30am.

Criminals set the teenager on fire while she was returning home from a grocery shop around 8:45pm at Birpur.

A case was filed in this connection the next day. The motive could not be known yet.

Police arrested four suspects.
