Madrasa student of Class 5 arrested for raping a second grader

A fifth grader madrasa student has been arrested by police for raping a class-2 girl Satkhira's Sadar Upazila.  

The arrestee Shihab Sardar, 14, is a student of Fingri Madrasa and son of Shahidul Sardar of the Fingri union.  

Officer-in-Charge of Satkhira Sadar police station Asaduzzaman said, "Shihab called the girl to a nearby house on Tuesday morning and raped her. He tried to run away when the child started screaming. But the locals caught him."

"Later, her family members brought her to the police station and Shihab was also arrested on spot. Rape case has been filed against him," he added.

The accused has been sent to jail and further investigation is underway, the OC said further.
