Journalist Muzakkir's murder case handed over to PBI

The murder case filed in connection with the killing of journalist Burhan Uddin Muzakkir in a shootout between two factions of Awami League at Chaprashirhat in Companiganj of Noakhali has been handed over to the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI).

District Superintendent of Police Md Alamgir Hossain confirmed the matter to The Business Standard at 8:30pm on Tuesday. 

Earlier on Tuesday evening, Mostafizur Rahman, Noakhali inspector of PBI, visited the crime scene. 

Meanwhile, police on Tuesday recovered Muzakkir's mobile phone, video camera, and wallet. However, no memory card was found in the phone and video camera, according to the police.

On Monday, police recovered CCTV footage from the traders' association office in Chaprashirhat East Bazar to identify who fired the shots and killed Muzakkir.
