Gulshan Lavender fined Tk2 lakh for selling foreign goods illegally

The Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI) has fined Lavender Super Store in the capital's Gulshan-2 Tk2 lakh for selling foreign powdered milk, shampoo, soap and toothpaste without permission.

According to the BSTI, the company was selling the products without clearance, which was revealed during a mobile court operation on Monday.

BSTI Executive Magistrate Rashida Akhter conducted the mobile court operation in Gulshan and Badda areas.

During the operation, Heaven Pure Drinking Water in Gulshan was also fined Tk50,000 for selling and marketing drinking water without a BSTI licence. The factory was also sealed.
