A 16-year old daughter slaughtered her 45-year old mother Chantara Begum's after being irritated on her.

Daughter Tania Akter gave confessional statement regarding murder under 164 section before the court on November 3, said Brahmanbaria Police Superintendent Md Anisur Rahman at a press briefing today.

On November 2, Brahmanbaria Sadar Police station recovered the body of Chantara from her resident in Birampur village. That time, Tania informed police that her mother slit her own throat as she was mentally challenged.

However, Tania said in her confessional statement that her mother wanted to go outside early in the morning on that day after her father Kalil Mia went for Fajr prayer.

Being stopped by Tania, she gave Tania a sharp weapon and said "kill me with this". At one stage, Tania became furious and killed her mother.

Later, Tania tried to manipulate the incident saying it was suicide.

Local people said, Chantara was mentally upset as her 14-year old boy has been missing for two years.

Md Zakir Hossain, brother of the deceased, filed a case with the Sadar Police station in this connection.
