Ex-Ducsu VP Nur excluded from charge sheets in rape cases

Police have submitted charge sheets excluding names of four people, including former vice president of Dhaka University Central Students' Union (Ducsu) Nurul Haque Nur, in the cases filed over rape, abetting rape and shaming a female student on social media.

The charge sheets have been filed against Nazmul Hasan Sohag, joint convener of the Bangladesh General Students' Rights Protection Council, and Hasan Al Mamun, a former convener of the organization.
 
Police had applied for the release of Nur and three others in the cases as the allegations against them were not proved, said Md Wahiduzzaman, police inspector at Kotwali Police Station, on Monday.
 
In September last year,a female student of Dhaka University filedthe cases against six people, including Nur.
