BSF arrests Bangladeshi with fake Indian notes

A Bangladeshi was apprehended with Fake Indian Currency Notes (FICN) racketeer along with notes of Rs 19,000 denomination by troops of Border Security Force's 6 battalions under the aegis of the Guwahati Frontier in India.
Mohammad Rashidul Islam, 22, of Satkurbari village in Bangladesh's Kurigram district has been named as the suspect. He was handed over to the Mankachar police department, reports the Times of India.
According to a BSF spokesman, on April 30, BSF Border outpost (BOP) troops carried out a special operation in the general area of village Mandolpara near the Indo-Bangladesh border and apprehended the Bangladeshi man after receiving a tip.
The spokesman said the arrested Bangladeshi national was attempting to smuggle fake currency from Bangladesh to India.
"Keeping in view of the vulnerability of border, heightened activities of the smugglers and anti-national elements on the border, BSF troops are always alert towards the issues of trans-border crimes and illegal infiltration and are making all-out efforts to prevent such crimes," said the BSF spokesman,
The spokesman added that BSF troops are alert towards issues of trans-border crimes.
