A Dhaka court on Thursday granted the police three-day remand of five suspects in a case filed over the brutal lynching and subsequent death of Taslima Begum Renu.

Taslima Begum Renu, a 42-year-old mother of two, went to a school in Dhaka’s Badda area where she was beaten to death on suspicion of being a child-lifter on July 20.

A case was filed by the deceased’s nephew accusing more than 400 people, with Badda police station.
