An accused in 9 cases stabbed to death in Jashore

An accused in nine cases, including for murder and robbery, has been stabbed to death in Jashore.

The incident took place in the suburbs of Arabpur around 4pm on Monday. The deceased is Bishe, 35, son of Abdul Malek of the area.

Jessore Additional Superintendent of Police Touhidul Islam said the deceased was eating at Aslam's hotel at Arabpur junction when, two to three people, including Sagar – son of Delwar of Balia Vekutia area – stabbed him. Locals rescued Bishe and admitted him to Jashore General Hospital.

He died shortly afterwards while undergoing treatment.

Dilip Kumar, supervisor of Jashore General Hospital, said there were stab wounds to several parts of his body and he died of excessive bleeding.

The deceased had nine cases lodged against him at Kotwali Police Station.

Police are conducting a search operation to nab the killers.
