Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has detained six members of a teen gang in connection with the murder of a teenager in Gazipur on Wednesday.

The detainees are Md Rasel Mia, 18, Md Saurav, 21, Md Ashraful Islam, 17, Md Zobaer, 17 and Amir Hamza, 19, and Md Sujan Patowary, 17.

According to a RAB press release, all six are members of a teen gang named "Bhai-Brothers."

The detention was made after a team of RAB 1 raided different areas in the city on Wednesday night.

Several sharp weapons used in the murder were also seized by the RAB team.

Nurul Islam, 16, was murdered on September 3 over the previous enmity. He was also a member of another gang.

A case was filed by the victim's father with Gazipur Sadar Police Station the same day.
