At least 45 Rohingya refugees were detained from Chattogram's Sitakunda early today.

Law enforcers arrested them from a rented house at Mollapara area where they were living illegally after fleeing from Cox's Bazar Rohingya camps, said Shamim Sheikh, inspector (investigation) of Sitakunda Police Station.

On information that the Rohingyas were working at a local factory, police conducted a raid in the area and arrested them, he added.

The detained Rohingyas will be produced before the court.
