4 more held for spreading rumour over Padma bridge construction

The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) on Friday arrested four more persons from different parts of the country for their alleged involvement in spreading a rumour about the need of human sacrifices for Padma bridge construction.

The arrestees were identified as Md Sohidul Islam, 25, from Narail, Md Arman Hossain, 20, from Chattogram, Md Faruk, 50, from Moulvibazar, and Md Hayatun Nobi, 31, from Cumilla.

Mizanur Rahman Bhuiyan, senior assistant director (Legal and Media Wing) of RAB, said separate cases have been filed against them.

A young boy was also arrested by RAB from Rajbari district two days ago in this connection.
