CPA evicts illegal establishments

The Chattogram Port Authority (CPA) has evicted hundreds of illegal establishments from the Boropole area of the port city. 

Two acres of land was recovered from encroachers during the drive, the CPA Assistant Estate Manager Muhammad Shihab Uddin told The Business Standard on Tuesday.

Chattogram Port's authorised Officer and Executive Magistrate Gautam Barai led the drive that started in the morning.

Shihab said drives are being conducted on a regular basis to free the land of the port from grabbers. It will continue in future, he added.
