Cox’s Bazar SP transferred to Rajshahi

Cox's Bazar Superintendent of Police (SP) ABM Masud Hossain has been transferred to Rajshahi.
The Home Ministry issued a notification in this regard on Wednesday.
According to the gazette notification, Md Hasanuzzaman, Jhenaidah superintendent of police has been appointed as the new SP of Cox's Bazar.
A total of six police officials have been transferred in the notification.
SP ABM Masud Hossain came into discussion when a leaked phone conversation between OC Pradeep and him went viral on social media after the killing of retired Army Major Sinha Md Rashed Khan on July 31 night.
Later on September 10, Lawyer of Sinha murder case Md Mostafa, in a press briefing, alleged that the Cox's Bazar SP has been obstructing the investigation into the Sinha murder case.
"Masud has even written to the Cox's Bazar Jail authorities to provide main accused OC Pradeep Kumar Das and Inspector Liakat with a division facility in prison."
SP ABM Masud Hossain is using his official power in favour of the accused, alleged the lawyer.
