Police have arrested four men in connection with Tuesday's attack on a reporting team of News24 in the capital's Nayabazar.

The arrestees are Ghulam Mostafa Suman, Sabbir, Johnny and Nayon.

Police said the four men during interrogation had confessed their involvement in beating the journalists and vandalising a vehicle of the channel.

Bangshal Police Station Officer-in-Charge Shahin Fakir told The Business Standard, "The four were arrested during a drive on Tuesday night. We are trying to arrest the others who were involved in the incident."

The journalists were attacked on Tuesday noon.

The miscreants beat up reporter Fakhrul Islam and cameraperson Sheikh Jalal, snatched the camera and vandalised the TV channel's car.

Both the reporter and the cameraperson sustained injuries in the attack.
