Minni among 10 facing Rifat murder charges

Rifat was hacked to death by miscreants in front of Barguna Government College in broad daylight

A Barguna court today framed charges against 10 accused including Ayesha Siddika Minni in sensational Rifat Sharif murder case.

Judge Md Asaduzzaman of Barguna District and Sessions Judge Court fixed January 8 for the first hearing in the case. The hearing will be continued till February 9. 

Eight adult accused of the case were produced before the court today. They were sent to the jail after charge framing hearing.

The adult accused of the case are - Rakibul Hasan Rifat, 23, Al Kaiyum alias Rabbi Akon, 21, Mohaiminul Islam Sifat, 19, Rezwan Ali Khan Ridoy alias Tiktok Ridoy, 22, Md Hasan, 19, Md Musa, 22, Ayesha Siddika Minni, 19, Rafiul Islam Rabbi, 20, Md Sagar, 19 and Kamrul Islam Saimun, 21.

Rifat Sharif was hacked to death by miscreants in front of Barguna Government College in broad daylight on June 26 last year. His wife Ayesha Siddika Minni was present on the spot. 

The police on September 1 of the same year, submitted two charge sheets before the same court, in connection with the case. 

In one of the charge-sheets 14 juveniles were made accused, while in the other 10 adults were made accused in another charge sheet.
