Justice Moyeenul Islam Chowdhury retires today

Today is the last day of his judicial life

High Court Judge Justice Moyeenul Islam Chowdhury will retire tomorrow ending his 38 years of judicial career.

On this occasion, Supreme Court administration and Supreme Court Bar Association arranged farewell ceremony.

Moyeenul Islam Chowdhury was elevated as additional judge of the High Court Division on August 23, 2004 and appointed as Judge of the same Division on August 23, 2006.

He Joined in the Judicial Service as Assistant Judge on 17 March 1982 and was promoted as District and District and Session Judge on March 1, 1998.

He completed his B.A. (Hons), MA., and LL.B. under Dhaka University.

He was born in January 9, 1953 and tomorrow he is going to become 67 years old.

The Supreme Court administration said, according to the probation of our constitution Moyeenul Islam Chowdhury is going on his retirement tomorrow. Today is the last day of his judicial life.

Moyeenul Islam Chowdhury in his Judicial life participated in international seminars, symposiums, workshops in Australia and Thailand and also participated in sharing of views and experiences with Canadian Judges in Ottawa, American Judges in New York, Malaysian Judges in Kuala Lumpur and Filipino Judges in Manila. He also visited India, Saudi Arabia and United Kingdom.
