HC asks Green Line to pay Russell Tk5 lakh by July 28

The HC bench of Justice FRM Nazmul Ahsan and Justice M Kamrul Kader passed the order and fixed July 28 for next hearing.

The High Court (HC) has ordered Green Line Paribahan to pay the first installment of Tk five lakh by July 28 to Russell Sarker, who lost leg after being hit by the company's bus. 

The HC bench of Justice FRM Nazmul Ahsan and Justice M Kamrul Kader passed the order and fixed July 28 for next hearing.

Defense counsel Advocate Shah Monjurul Hoque, filed a time petition on behalf of Green Line to complying with the court directives.

Deputy Attorney General Abdullah-Al-Mahmud Bashar represented the state while writ petitioner's lawyer advocate Khandakar Shamsul Haque Reza was also present.

Russel, 26, a car driver, lost his leg after he was knocked down by a Green Line bus near Mayor Hanif Flyover on April 4, 2018.
