A Dhaka court has sought the investigation report on the rape and murder of Samia Afrin Saima in the capital’s Wari by July 24.

Metropolitan Magistrate Atikur Rahman set the date when police submitted the first information report (FIR) and other case documents to the court on Saturday.

“No accused was produced in the court today (Saturday),” Sub-Inspector Sharif confirmed The Business Standard.

Earlier on Friday, the nursery student at Silverdale School was found dead at an under-construction flat. Her family lives on the sixth floor at the same building.

The kid left their apartment after informing her mother to play with children like every other day but she remained missing since then.

Saima’s family later found her blood-strained body lying at the kitchen of a flat on the eighth floor with a rope around the neck.

The victim’s father, Abdus Salam, filed a case under the Prevention of Women and Children Repression Act with the Wari Police Station.
