Charge sheet against Samrat, Arman taken into cognizance

A Dhaka court today taken into cognizance the charge sheet filed in a narcotics case filed against former Dhaka city Jubo League leaders Ismail Hossain Chowdhury Samrat and Enamul Haque Arman.
Metropolitan Magistrate Masud Ur Rahman later transferred the case to Metropolitan Sessions Judge Court for further hearing.
Earlier on December 9, investigation officer (IO) and Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-1 sub-inspector Abdul Halim filed the charge sheet in the case.
RAB filed two cases against Samrat with Ramna Police Station on the afternoon of October 7, making Arman co-accused in the narcotics case.
RAB on early October 6 arrested Samrat and his associate Arman from village Kunja Sreepur of Alkora union under Chauddagram upazila of Cumilla district.
