Mainul hurled abusive words at Masuda during a live talk show at a private television channel on October 16 last year

A Dhaka court has set April 12 next year for framing charge against former adviser to caretaker government Barrister Mainul Hosein in a case filed over defaming journalist Masuda Bhatti. 

Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Kaisar Al Islam set the date on Thursday. Barrister Mainul Hosein did not appear before the court during the hearing.

On October 16 last year, Mainul hurled abusive words at Masuda during a live talk show at a private television channel. Following the incident, she filed a case with the court of Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Muhammad Asaduzzaman Noor in the capital on October 21.
