The High Court on Thursday ordered the authorities to hang the portrait of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in all courtrooms across the country within two months.

The HC bench, comprising Justices FRM Nazmul Ahsan and KM Kamrul Kader, issued the directive following a writ petition filed by advocate Subir Nandi Das, on August 21.

According to Article 4A of the Constitution, hanging the Portrait of Bangabandhu is mandatory for all government, semi-government, autonomous bodies, educational institutions and the Bangladeshi missions abroad.
