18 additional judges appointed permanently in High Court

President Mohammad Abdul Hamid has permanently appointed 18 additional judges in the High Court Division of the Supreme Court.
After the approval of the President came on Friday night, a gazette notification signed by Md Golam Sarwar, the Secretary of Law and Justice Division under the Ministry of Law, was issued.
The gazette notification said the appointments were made by the President in consultation with the Chief Justice in accordance with the powers conferred by Article 95 of the Constitution of the People's Republic of Bangladesh.
On May 30, 2018, the President appointed these 18 people as additional judges of the High Court Division for two years.
Public relations officer of the law ministry, Rezaul Karim, informed the media.
The permanent judges are- Md Abu Ahmad Jamadar, Mostafizur Rahman, Kamrul Islam Mollah, SM Quddus Zaman, Md Atowar Rahman, Fatema Najeeb, SM Abdul Mobin, Khizir Hayat Liju, Shashank Shekhar Sarkar, Mohammad Ali, Mohi Uddin Shamim, Md Riaz Uddin Khan, Md Khairul Alam, Ahmed Sohel, SM Moniruzzaman, Khandaker Diliruzzaman, Sardar Md Rashed Jahangir and Dr KM Hafizul Alam.
They will take oath on Saturday.
