ACC quizzes Hanif Enterprise owner Kafil Uddin

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) is interrogating Kafil Uddin, owner of Hanif Enterprise, a prominent transport company in the country, over on allegations of amassing wealth illegally.
ACC spokesperson Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya confirmed it to The Business Standard.
"Abu Bakar Siddique, deputy director of ACC, has started to quiz him from 11:30 am today at the ACC head office in capita's Shegunbagicha," he added.
Pranab Kumar also said, "Other two owners of Hanif Enterprise Md Hanif Mia and his wife Eva Hanif did not appear before the ACC today."
Earlier on Sunday (August 23), The ACC summoned three of them for interrogation on allegations of amassing wealth illegally.
Abu Bakar Siddique, deputy director of ACC, sent separate letters to their home address, asking them to appear before investigators on August 24.
Among them, Hanif was convicted in the 21 August grenade attack case. He, along with former state minister for home affairs Lutfozzaman Babar, was awarded death sentence. He has been on the run for a long time.
The trio were earlier asked to face the ACC enquiry team on March 18 this year, but they did not appear before it, the commission said in the letter.
