The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) predicted today that the cold wave sweeping over the country at present is expected to persist for 3 to 4 more days.
However, light rain is predicted on January 9. After the rain, the temperature might drop slightly again, said meteorologist of the BMD Md Rasheduzzaman.
The lowest temperature was recorded today at 6 degrees Celsius at Tetulia while the temperature of Dhaka was recorded at 11.6 degrees Celsius.
