Deputy Inspector General of Chittagong Range, Khandker Golam Faruq and Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) Commissioner Md Mahabubor Rahman along with five other police personnel have been transferred to new workplaces.

Public Security Division of the Home Affairs Ministry issued a gazette notification on Monday making the announcement.

Five other police officials are Md Abdullah Baqi, deputy inspector general at Bangladesh Police Academy in Rajshahi; Jamil Ahmed, additional inspector general of Rapid Action Battalion; Md Anwer Hossain, police commissioner of Gazipur Metropolitan Police; Imtiaz Ahmed, deputy inspector general at the Criminal Investigation Department (CID); Saleh Mohammad Tanvir, additional police commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police.
